Finding alignment behind a new name
In 2022, following a large acquisition, Tietoevry went through a rebrand in order to align its global workforce under one common name and identity.
As a major provider of software and IT services to public entities in Norway, Finland, and Sweden, Tietoevry is known as the backbone of Nordic society. Any potential technology partner had to provide both enterprise-level service and scalability while also adhering to the strictest data protection and security standards.
Marte Alvfalk and Magnus Mühlenbock spoke with us about their experience in choosing and working with Templafy.
What challenges were you facing before Templafy?
In 2022, we undertook a major rebranding that brought together over 24,000 employees. And people were struggling to find the right brand materials and use them across PowerPoint templates, Word documents, and company presentations.
Before Templafy, we were using a lot of disparate tools, which didn’t offer the streamlined, unified experience we required. We needed a solution that could ensure our materials were brand-compliant, up-to-date, and easily accessible to all employees.
Why was Templafy the right choice for Tietoevry?
When we were looking for a new tool, we needed something that: adhered to GDPR and other EU security regulations, had compliant usage of AI tools, and that would provide centralized storage and management of all of our company templates, presentations, and documents. Templafy ticked every box.

What has the immediate impact been since introducing Templafy?
The impact has been incredible. We rarely see outdated templates being used anymore, and everyone knows where to find the most current assets. We’ve created over 100,000 documents that align with our brand guidelines.
Templafy has also made our work life easier, reducing stress and allowing more time to focus on core tasks instead of hunting for brand-compliant materials. From an IT perspective, Templafy has allowed us to govern brand compliance effectively without needing continuous oversight.
How has Templafy impacted your employee experience?
The feedback from my colleagues has been very positive. The centralized control over branding ensures that all documents are consistent and compliant, which is a huge plus for our branding team. And our IT teams have been able to easily manage onboarding and offboarding of users.

The AI features have been incredibly impactful. It’s made document creation and editing seamless for our employees, allowing them to work directly within Word and PowerPoint without switching platforms. The centralized prompting ensures consistent, compliant content, making it easy to use and significantly improving efficiency across the company.
